Where to begin? There
is so much to see and do in the region that it's impossible
to list everything on this website. So here are some highlights.

The Chateau de Montpoupon is a feudal
fortified property off the beaten tourist track. It has
an exceptional hunting museum with interesting live displays.

As well as being one of France's most beautiful
rivers, the Loire is full of serious specimens.
This wild carp of 32 lbs. was caught by a young visitor
in April 2003 only 1km from the Manoir.
A trip to the large aquarium near Amboise
is well worth a visit.

Amboise - the regal town
of François the First ( the same epoque as Henry
VIII of Tudor England) with its wonderful palace overlooking
the Loire river is comparable with Windsor.

Villandry and Chenonceau
are two of the most famous "grand" chateaux and
only about ten miles from Vouvray. The town itself is situated
at the confluence of the Cisse and the Loire rivers and
its charm is overseen by the famous 13th Century bell tower
looking out over the vineyards.
