The wines of the Val de Loire are amongst the best known
and respected in the world.
Which self-respecting wine lover has not at some time sampled
the delights of a bottle of Vouvray or Chinon?
There are several routes you can take through the Loire
valley amidst stunning countryside if you are interested
in visiting the various vineyards.
In particular, in the Vallée de Coquette around
Vouvray there is a concentration of some thirty different
viticultures, all offering a free tasting for visitors to
their establishments. This is indeed a fascinating afternoon's
pleasure and we will recommend our favourites, which include
